Tips for
Taking
Great Photos for
the Model Portfolio |
 |
Buy 1
yard of tan or beige material or sheet for background for photos (you
don't want a lot of stuff going on in the picture like pictures on their
walls, etc.) You don't notice the model when you have a picture with
a lot of stuff going on. Use clothes pins to clip material to curtains.
Have a white over sized button down shirt for the model to wear in before
picture (just put over shirt she has on), or a cape from Sally's Hair
Supply--like Hair Dressers use.
Don't wear any jewelry in before picture.
Don't smile in before picture.
Use cream foundation (it has a light diffuser in it that reflects light).
Put panty hose over lens. Take two pictures: one with the hose over
lens and one without. If you have a zoom lens, stand farther away -
about 4 feet.
The picture should be from shoulders up.
Let the model pick her favorite color for her blouse to take her after
picture.
Always wear jewelry in the after photo.
